Annual holiday wreath making class

Saturday, November 28th at 12 noon

Waimea Outdoor Circle will hold it’s annual holiday wreath making class in the greenhouse of Ulu La’au, the Waimea Nature Park. All natural materials, wreath forms and pins will be provided. Two sizes are available to choose from: the 14-inch at $30 and the large 18-inch at $40. Please bring your garden shears and any decorative items you wish to add to your wreath. RESERVATIONS ARE NECESSARY as this class always sells out so please call Arlene Block at 885-4753 to reserve your spot.

The day before, Friday, November 27 will be the gathering of the greens on Mauna Kea. We will journey up in caravan style and, with a permit, gather the greens needed for the wreath class. Also people are encouraged to bring greens from your yard to augment what the group has gathered. Meet at the Nature Park at 9 am to car pool and bring along a lunch. We should be back by 1:00. You do not need to help gather to participate in the class, but it is a fun excursion and it only takes about one hour to finish the gathering. Again call Arlene to let her know you are coming.
